Song of the Hero

I have written the draft to my book and will soon begin submitting inquires to literary agents. The title, if it holds, is “Song of the Hero”. This project started in June 2018.

The book is an exploratory analysis for how men, who are in long-term relationships, have stalled in their growth and relationships, what they can do to correct themselves, and how to transcend a diminished version of themselves all through the challenges presented by their feminine partner. The concepts and theories explored in the book are viewed through the lenses of analytical and evolutionary psychology, biology, neuroscience, and behavioral economics, with an undertone of mythology. To illuminate the rather technical analysis of the concepts and theories, I have interwoven a fictional story of a couple’s relationship. Using relatable experiences to illustrate the ideas in the book helps bring them to a manageable level on which the reader can easily translate them into implementable strategies in their personal lives.

Book Description

Part one of the book walks the reader through how he became who he is and where he went wrong. It then explains the process of relationships and what kind of partner he is. Furthermore, it helps him define his connection with his partner based on the type of partner he is. Lastly, he is introduced to some external barriers with which he must contend in the world. In this part of the book, he learns who he is.

Part two of the book then takes the reader through the feminine world as a way to rebuild himself. This is done by establishing the four pillars—assertiveness, character, frame, and confidence. This formula for magnificence leads him to the heart of the feminine by slaying his dragons.

The third and final part of the book addresses compatibility, responsible leadership, and voluntary battle with himself as a way to begin transcending his former self. He is subsequently brought to a higher level of consciousness by learning to master his personality and integrate all his aspects into a more wholesome Self. In the final chapter, he is called to live his most magnificent life by honoring his masculinity through giving his gifts and embracing the modern woman.

More to come…
